Missions

The GREAT COMMISSION in Mark 16:15 says, " Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."

It is the will of God that all men and women hear the 'Good News'  of salvation around the corner and around the world.

Missions can be either E1 ( reaching people in your own culture) E2, ( reaching people with at least one barrier to overcome- language, food,  geography etc-) or E3 ( reacing across two or more cultiral barriers to live and communicate- in a way unreached people can understand- the love of God for them and HIs provision for salvation and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Although only a few of us will ever live - or maybe even travel overseas to minister in E2 or E3 evangelism; those that do go carry with them the blessing, encouragement and prayers of our entire Fellowship.

Missions is bringing the gopsel to those in need - often at great personal expense and inconvience to those that go. Let's pray God would raise up many such missionaries in these last days!

Ministry of John Benedetti

Brief Description of Gift/Ministry, May 2007:

I have ministered in Rochester area for a total of 32 years; I have pastured one church for 25 of those years.  From that church we started three other churches, a Bible School and a missions program.  We also trained ten men for ministry of which 8 are in ministry now.  During the 25 years I also became one of the leaders of Regional Ministry (11 churches involved) and I was an overseer for 8 of the pastors involved. In the year 2000, I was released from the pastorate to minister to the wider body of Christ as an apostolic teacher. This special service to release me was not my plan or idea, the Lord spoke to me one month prior to my trip to Mexico/ Guatemala that something life changing was going to happen. While in Guatemala, Apostle Norman Parish and Apostle John Kelly talked and put together a plan to come to NY and release me into another, different phase of ministry and just as the Lord spoke to me something life changing took place within two months.  During my time spent with Antioch Churches and Ministries,I became the overseer for ACM for Western NY, working with Bishop Dockery of Buffalo.   I minister quite a bit to pastors and elders but my main ministry has been to other countries, Romania, Spain, Mexico and Argentina.  The Lord Jesus has also graced the change in ministry by adding healing gifts to that which He has already given, for His own glory and purposes to be established in the earth.

Brief History and Philosophy of Ministry

John M. Benedetti Apostle: Teaching, training, equipping, encouraging and imparting.

I have preached, lived and believed in the Local Church for over 37 years; the church is God’s answer, God’s medium through which He ministers His Word, Grace and Salvation, to a disillusioned, dying and hopeless world. I have been a pastor, but within that local ministry there began (around 1985) to be recognition among other pastors that I was called to help them and minister to their leaders, and to situations involving direction and government within the local church. So for many years my pastoral ministry included traveling about once every six weeks for a week, to minister to other fellowships. This did not include any weekend engagements or what we call Prophetic Presbytery meetings. After 10 years, this season of ministering to pastors ended, but the relationships, which were built at that time, have been maintained.

The Beginning of a shift in Ministry

While attending conferences and ministering in North Carolina, I met a Romanian Pastor. This meeting (unbeknown to me) ushered in a great transition in my life and ministry – it was the start of God’s hand upon me for a ministry of being sent to the Nations. Romania, Italy and Cameroon became places of great ministry and anointing. For many years this ministry of traveling, and receiving a burden for these places so far removed from our cultural blessings, continued to increase.

Then two new great doors opened by the providence of God. One was a fulfillment of a prophetic vision given to a couple while they were being prayed for in Prophetic Presbytery at our church in 1985. I was told through a vision and a prophetic word of interpretation that, “I would be leading thousands of people into a river of life and joy and that these people would be Italians.” I carried this burden and vision for almost 14 years, not knowing where or how this would ever happen. But now with great joy I am able to share with you that this was fulfilled and continues to be fulfilled through the ministry that the Lord Jesus has opened up for me in Argentina. The anointing and power of what has happened to me and to those that I minister to in this country, is beyond what I could have ever asked, thought was possible or imagined.

The Second door was by a visitation of the Word of the Lord to me while I was in my office. Out of this came a new direction that would become a focus for my life – the country of Spain. While I still visit other countries because of the friendships and ministry that the Lord uses me in, there are three main countries, which have my focus and heart; they are Spain, Argentina and Romania

Spain: My ministry there is because of a personal visitation from the Lord in my office five years ago. This was also confirmed last year by another prophetic word at an Albany meeting and then by someone in Buffalo who had a prophetic dream which fulfilled the prophetic word from Albany. All this was concerning my ministry to Spain as a focus and calling from the Lord Jesus.  Argentina: My ministry there is because of a prophetic vision from 1985, which continues to be fulfilled with greater anointing and release of God’s presence, and with friendships that have become very precious. Argentina for me has been a place of stretching – enlarging, a place where one’s physical endurance is tested and where dependence upon the Lord Jesus for strength and anointing is absolutely necessary. It also has been the place of release and increase in the purposes of God, with an added confidence and boldness in the power and presence of the risen Christ. Romania: Because the love of Christ has been placed in my heart for these wonderful people, and relationships have lasted and increased over 13 years, I continue to visit this country on a regular basis. Christ Community Church has lovingly invested over the years, time, money, trips for our youth, and now are presently helping them with their church building program. Aside from these three, the other countries I minister in now are:

The Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Sicily and for many years in Cameron, Africa.

Thanks and Acknowledgments:

When you believe in the local church, it means you believe in something bigger than yourself and your ministry. So in each of these places, there are men and women of like precious faith that God uses, and with whom I have been united with. It is a church ministry, not just a ministry.
